The Commercial and Industrial ( C& I) program is an energy efficiency program administered by the public utility partners and funded by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF). This program is designed to provide cost-effective, energy-saving services to small Commercial and Industrial customers with an average 12-month peak demand between 10 and 200 kWh.

EES is a  program-authorized contractor.  We will walk you through the entire process and free up your time to focus on running your business.  The program offers long lasting benefits that will help you improve your business’ energy efficiency while helping to develop a long-term sustainable energy solution. The program is supported by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and offers you the financial assistance that will enable you to change how you use energy more efficiently and maintain a healthy bottom line.

Schedule your professional FREE Audit

  • Energy Efficiencies Solutions (EES) will conduct a no-cost energy assessment of your facility to determine potential energy-saving measures.

  • An EES BPI certified professional will complete a walk through of your facility and collect the needed information to provide comprehensive quotes and scopes of work to you and the utilities which manage the incentive process and payment.

Utility review and project approvals

Once EES processes the data and develops the quotes for the eligible upgrades

  • EES will fill out and submit all required forms/applications.

  • EES will work with the utility companies to determine what will be paid for out of the Utility Energy Efficiency Fund to offset the cost of your energy saving measures.

  • The program administrator will create a financing package for the approved upgrades to help ensure that your business can install the measures at a low interest rate.

  • The program administrator  will provide EES a report on utility bill savings, financing and payback years. The formula and projections are created by engineers and project managers at the utility company.

Your Proposal of Upgrades and Incentives

Once the project is approved by UI, a proposal will be provided to you which includes:

  1. Applicable energy efficiency measures

  2. ROI complete costs and estimated energy savings, along with SBEA incentives (cost reductions).  Incentives are offered in an effort to offset the cost of installation

  3. Financing options and review of the savings you will have Now and Later

Accept the proposal and complete the contract

  • Once the proposal is accepted and signed by you, installation will begin within 30 days.

  • You can choose to implement All measures or Some measures

  • It is important to focus on measures that have a high ROI

Financing note

  • The Energy Efficiency Fund’s C&I program incentives will offset a portion of the costs of all eligible measures up to 50%.

  • The remainder can be financed, interest free, for the balance of the project for qualified customers.

  • Once the loan is paid off, you continue to have the savings on your reduced monthly bills!
